
Sooner or later Peter Pan has to grow up and that’s how it ends—he becomes too much of a man to just play around with Captain Hook. It becomes real and Hook dies and Peter Pan dies then too. You can’t be a boy when you’ve killed a man, and so Peter Pan takes Hook’s place and Tinkerbell abandons him for another eager, bright-eyed boy. (x)
